Joanna and Anthony's Wedding!

Congrats Joanna and Anthony and good luck with the house!!!

WE ARE ENGAGED!!!!

On the second day of our vacation Kevin asked me to marry him while we were on a sunset cruise around the rock formations in Cabo. I was so surprised (maybe because he just finished telling me he was not the marriage type about 2 hours prior!) and after realizing what was happening I said YES!!! It was so nice to just have the week to realize that I get to marry Kev!! So we are planning for July 23,2010!!!

CABO!!

Cabo was awesome. Aside from getting engaged (see above!) we had an amazing time. It was so relaxing. We jet skied, went on 2 sunset boat rides, went ATVing, and scuba dove. When we were not out and about we were relaxing in 1 of the 4 pools at the RIU Palace. It was just so nice. I want to live there!

Joanna's Bachelorette Party

I headed down to Wildwood NJ to celebrate one of Joanna's last free nights as a single woman! We hung out by the pool....

Tiana's Shower!

Tiana's bridal party (lead by Hallie) threw Tiana an awesome shower out in Brooklyn. These are the only really decent pictures my camera produces... they came out so blurry!

Tara's Baby Shower!

So I went to Philly to see Tara and all my Philly friends! Tara was ready to give birth right there, she was so over being pregnant! She got so many cute things! Here is the creative baby laundry line she got from one of the guests! (I may have to steal that idea!)

The Hamptons!

Kevin's aunts got a Hamptons house for his cousin's HS graduation and they invited Kevin, myself, AND Brody to come visit. So Brody got his first experience of water. He was pretty scared of it and would only go in the bay with Kevin. Keith brought him into the pool and he swam so quickly to safety!!

Emme got dressed in her bikini and came to the pool that I joined (and went to all of 1 time!) and came and hung out! We went in the pool but Michelle as those pictures!

Trang's Visit!

Donna, Dave, Josh, and Colin came in to visit us here up North. It was so good to see them and see how big Josh and Colin are getting!

Joanna's Shower

So I had 2 showers to go to in 1 day at the beginning of the summer...

Melissa had her baby shower which was so nice (Donna made all the centerpieces which were awesome!)

Then I headed over to Mount Vernon for Joanna's bridal shower. We hung out there for a bit and then headed to the bar.... I had a lot of fun as you can see from the pictures below!

So the end of the school year was a bit easy for me so Kev and I took time one afternoon to take Brody to the beach because I did not have to grade any papers!  He had loads of fun!  

Brody loves benches... he always hops up on them and just likes to hang out!

June 2009

Finally it is June!!!  It is almost summer vacation and we have been busily training Brody!  I am also very happy that I am caught up on this blog.  Here are the June pics of Brody!

May 2009

May is a blur to me.  It was so busy!

First it began the countdown to summer vacation.  This year has been tough so I am excited for a break!

We walked in the Dog Walk for Cancer.  Abbie was the star since she is a cancer survivor!

Then Kev finally agreed to get a PUPPY!  Brody Walker McCarthy was adopted on May 8th!  He is a yellow lab puppy and so adorable.  Here are some of the picutres of our cute little

Lastly I graduated from Manhattanville College with my Master of Arts in Teaching with  4.0! I also received an award for academic excellence so I dragged Kev and my parents to that ceremony as well!

April 2009

This month we had 2 big events!

First Emme had her baby shower.  My sister did not want a shower until after Emme was born safe and sound so we waited until Spring began to arrive to have this big day!  It was so nice to see everyone and celebrate Emme!

Then the next morning Kevin and I flew out to Texas to visit his sister Donna, her husband Dave, Josh, Colin, and Silvi (thier dog).

While we were there Abbie had a bit of a scare.  We found out that she had Cancer.  But she was operated on and all the Cancer was successfully removed!

I did not get to share Emme's first Easter but here is her cute Easter picture!

March 2009

Happy 2 year anniversary to Kevin and I!

I can not believe Kev and I have been dating for 2 years, it is going by so quickly.  I guess the saying is true "Time flies when you are having fun!"

Also Happy St. Patrick's Day.  We had some babies celebrating this year!

February 2009

This month was all about Emme, Emme, and more Emme!  I spent most of the month just spoiling my little niece!

January 2009

January was an awesome month!  

First Erin turned 1!  She had an awesome party which brought in tons of little kiddies, making me realize Pete and Hallie have the most friends with babies than anyone I know!  

Kev and I headed to Colorado for Keith and Leanne's Wedding.  Kev headed out before I did for Keith's ski bachelor party.  

So in all fairness, I went out for a night on the town for Leanne's bachelorette party.

The next night we went out for steak dinner for the rehearsal diner.

And finally the wedding!!

Then as I anxiously awaited my birthday to arrive, Emme Theresa made her arrival 1 and a half hours shy of my day!  I guess she did not want to share!  But just hours before my birthday I got the cutest niece in the world! 

So the next day, January 20th, I headed up to meet this little cutie.  It was the best birthday I have ever had (Tara my 20th is a very close second!) and I even had a cake waiting for me when I got home baked by none other than chef Kevin!

And of course my best friend Erin made sure she said Happy Birthday!

I do share a birthday with Kevin's cousin Josh.  We were hoping that all 3 of us could share it!

December 2008

This month was pretty quiet. We of course attended Kevin's annual Christmas party and celebrated Christmas with our families.  Kev and I also put up our first Christmas tree and he even bought me one of those cheesy ornaments!

November 2008

This was a busy month.  First Pete and Hallie celebrated their one year anniversary.  Technically their anniversary is October 31st, but their party was Nov. 1st!

On November 5, 2008 Dave and Donna (and Josh) welcomed Colin Parker into the family!

Then later in the month we traveled up to northern PA (Kevin loved it) and we watched as Janel officially because a JONES!  No relation to my Jones' but I am still looking for my long lost cousin in Jeff's family!  Congrats guys!

Then at the end of the month, Kevin was a member of the bridal party for his good friend Noreen.  She and Justin had a beautiful wedding her in Westchester.  They were also nice enough to let me tag along with them between the ceremony and the reception... the appetizers were SOOOO GOOD!!  Congrats Devines!

My mom also celebrated a birthday in November... Happy Birthday Mom!

October 2008

Erin celebrated her first halloween this month.  She was a cow!  

September 2008

This month brought many new things.

First I moved!  Kevin's roommate moved to London, Congrats Kev!, so I moved in!  I am now a Mount Vernon resident... I packed what was left at my parents and of course Bailey and headed for the "suburbs"!

I also got 2 new jobs, talk about overwhelming!  I was moved from the middle school to the high school and am teaching Regents Biology which at first was horrible but now its just ok!  I also decided to make some extra cash being a home care physical therapist.  I know, you are all saying that I hate PT, but this is very far removed from the insurance companies and I just deal with patients for the most part!

Kevin's friend Selma and Pete got married and Kevin gave an awesome speech for them.  The whole day was beautiful!  Congrats guys!

Then Kev and I went to the Bahamas with Keith, Leanne, Uncle Danny, and Monica.  Talk about a wonderful vacation.  I want to live there!!

Master of Education

July 31, 2008

Today was the last official day of my masters program.  I am officially done!!  In the last year and a half I have completed an accelerated Masters of the Art in Teaching program!  The graduation ceremony is not until May but we began our celebrations today since we were done at the college, the JumpStart program threw us a little party!

Julia, Myself, Lou, and Monica are the science cohort survivors!  

We got each other through this last year and are SO happy to be done!

Donna and Josh come visit

July 11th-27th.

Donna and Josh flew in from Texas for a few weeks for a visit.  Kevin was very excited to see them and we were able to do some fun stuff with them while they were here.

One day we took Josh to the beach where he played in the biggest sandbox he could imagine!

We also took JD on his first upside down roller coaster, I do not have the picture because I was on it with him but this was the one he went on right before it!

We visited Kevin's Uncle at the firehouse where everyone was able to sit in the truck and take some pictures!

Josh tested out his MD skills at the Liberty Science Center!

Then showed his support for Obama with Uncle Kev after putting tons of little seeds in the Obama jar!

Donna showed her support as well!

We also got to dress up in hard hats and experience what a construction site feels like!

Selma and Pete's Shower!!

July 26th

Selma and Pete celebrated this weekend at their coed wedding celebration (aka shower).  Let me tell you the coed shower is the way to go.  Having been to a few showers now, they can be long and drawn out but this one was awesome, it was just like a party and everyone had a great time.
